The 7 x 65 R was introduced as the rimmed version of the 7 x 64 in 1920. This calibre is predestined both for combination hunting rifles and break-open rifles – with this, the whole range of use from roe to red deer can be well covered.
Both with the 165 gr GECO Softpoint bullet and the 170 gr GECO Plus good external ballistic characteristics are being achieved. For everyone prefering lead-free ammunition or where classic hunting ammunition is prohibited by law, we offer the GECO ZERO with a weight of 127 gr.
GECO SOFTPOINT BULLET
Thousands of roe deer have been shot with the legendary GECO Softpoint bullet which is suitable for universal use and in almost any hunting situation. It responds reliably in the game’s body and has good target ballistic effectiveness. The thin walled jacket of the bullet is the secret of this successful design, deformation is initiated by the marked lead tip and then the jacket responds to the increased resistance, even with heavy game the deformation process remains well controlled.
